Call for future generations of CTU leadership

Chicago Tyagaraja Utsavam is inviting applications from enthusiastic youth interested in being part of future generations of CTU leadership. Starting in 2017, CTU is considering the formation of a group of upcoming generations of leaders that will be responsible for the coordination of one or more of the CTU programs each year. Programs have to be based on themes related to Indian Classical music and/or dance.

CTU is planning a one-hour program coordinated by this group for the 2017 Music Festival.

Responsibilities of this group to coordinate the one-hour program will include:

• Defining the program structure
• Identifying the participants
• Advertising and socializing the event through appropriate channels
• Conducting the program itself
• Writing up a report on the event

Qualifying criteria

• Applicants must be at least 15 years old on January 1, 2017
• Knowledge about Indian classical music or dance is preferred but not essential’
• Prior attendance and participation in CTU events preferred but not essential
• Demonstrated ability to bring together a diverse group of participants
