This year CTU is also introducing the following programs:
- Bhavayami Raghuramam performance by a new group of children trained by Chicago-area teachers
- Pragata Samarpanam, a performance by representatives of the more experienced generations of well-wishers who have laid the foundation for nurturing our cultural values and tradition for generations to come
- Dwi-Thala Vadhya Kutchery
At the request of the temples, CTU-trained children have also chanted the Vishnu Sahasranama Stotram and rendered both Nama Ramayanam and Hanuman Chalisa on various occasions including the Utsava Abhivandanam on Apr 25, 2015.
We acknowledge all the teachers and coordinators who take the time and effort to train the children for all these group performances throughout the year. We also acknowledge all the families who open up their houses to host the practice sessions for these performances.
As the 39th Utsavam approaches this coming weekend, we invite all of you to attend and take part in the festivities as one CTU family. A family that comes together annually to celebrate this grand occasion with everyone doing their part. The Utsavam cannot happen without all the families whole-heartedly attending and helping out with the hosting and transportation of the artists,
preparation of the meals, coordination of various logistics before, during and after the festival.
The combined effort of more than a hundred culinary artists working together to prepare a sumptuous feast symbolizes the familial atmosphere that has come to represent the Chicago Tyagaraja Utsavam. Actions like the youth volunteers respectfully serving meals to the seniors and taking care of their needs channels our family values into the bloodstream of the next generation.
To coordinate an event of this magnitude, we rely on the support of one and all in every shape and form.
