Record Representation in CTU 2009 Music Competition

Chicago Tyagaraja Utsavam has received registrations from a record number of states across the USA for this year’s competition. CTU appreciates the efforts of the contestants and their families to submit their registrations based on the guidelines mentioned.

The registration for the competition is now closed.

Here are some of the unique chararacteristics of this year’s registrations:

• Representation from the maximum number of states (13) across the USA in any given year
• More out-of-state registrations than Illinois registrations

The states from where we received registrations this year are listed below in the descending order of the number of contestants from each state. Thus, the state with the maximum number of contestants is listed at the top.

• California
• Virginia
• Wisconsin
• New Jersey, Georgia, Texas
• Kansas, Missouri, North Carolina, Ohio, Florida
