Chicago Tyagaraja Utsavam received entries from a total of 70 contestants this year.
The first round of judging was conducted by a world famous professional musician from India after which 27 contestants were selected to perform in the Live Competition.
The following musicians judged the contestants who were selected to perform in the Live Music Competition.
- Sri B.U. Ganesh Prasad and Sri Sriram Brahmanandam.
All the contestants who performed in the Live Music Competition were given a CTU Certificate of Performance.
Each winner was awarded a CTU plaque and a CTU Certificate of Merit.
Thanks to the sponsorship of the competition by Meenakshi Ganesan Foundation, cash prizes will be mailed to the winners.
Kum. Shantala Subramanyam distributed the prizes and certificates to the contestants.

There were two contestants who submitted entries in the the same level and category that they were awarded the first prize for in previous CTU Music Competitions. They were encouraged to participate in other levels and categories as applicable. CTU will be sending them a Certificate of Selection.
