CTU seeks Annadhata support

The three-day Memorial Day festival is fast approaching in a month or so.

The highlights of this festival are available here and includes performances by Unnikrishnan, Seshagopalan, Flute Ramani, Ganesh & Kumaresh, Shashank & Abhayankar as well as a dance performance by Parvathi Ravi Ghantasala. We also have the privilege of the Nadaswaram Vidwans Shubhan Kasim & Shuban Babu leading a procession of more than 100 children rendering the Utsava Sampradaya Kritis on Sunday, 27th May as well as the Pancharatnam and Vishnu Sahasranama Stotram chanting by children on Saturday, 26th May. This year, children are also rendering couple of the Tyagaraja Kritis in an orchestra of Western instruments like the keyboard, clarinet, saxophone etc. on Monday, 28th May.

Preparations for the festivities are under way. In addition to the musical feast, we take pride in the sumptuous home-cooked meals provided during the festival to the 600+ people who actively participate in the festivities each day. We are able to organize and coordinate all these activities thanks to the active support of the hard working volunteers and music lovers. But, in addition to all this, we continue to rely on the financial support of CTU well-wishers like yourself.

We request your financial support in the form of an Annadata donation of at least $500 which entails the following benefits:

  • Admission for all three days to two adults in your family with accompanying children
  • A complimentary package of CDs from the CTU 2006 concerts
  • A complimentary package of DVDs that contain the excerpts from the 2006 CTU program broadcast on Doordarshan, India
  • Two seats in the front rows for the CTU concerts and dance performances during this festival

Please let us know if you are interested in making the tax-deductible Annadata donation this year so that we can make the appropriate logistical arrangements in advance.

If you have been an Annadata in the past years, we humbly acknowledge your contribution and support and look forward to your continued support.

Thank you very much for your support!
