Camp Conductor. Indian classical violin maestro Ganesh Rajagopalan (of Ganesh Kumaresh duo brothers) has been an internationally renowned performer and composer for past four decades. He was a child prodigy and has been performing since the young age of seven. He rose to stardom performing with legends like Tabla maestro Zakir Hussain. As a solo violinist, he is being sought after by Oscar winner and Bollywood’s famous music director A. R. Rahman as well as many other legends world wide like John McLaughlin of Shakti fame.
Camp attendees have an opportunity to learn innovative skills from an internationally renowned performer.

Times:
Classes will be held between 9:00 am and 5:00 PM every day.
There will be multiple batches of students grouped together depending upon various factors including their knowledge and proficiency. The number of batches and the schedule will be determined after all the registrations are received. The actual schedule will be announced after the Camp Conductor has reviewed the registrations received.

Who should attend
- Vocal & violin students who have at least two years of training in Carnatic music
- Other instrumentalists (Carnatic & Western) may attend
What will be covered
Students attending this camp will learn:
- Simple compositions to understand ragas & lyrics
- How to do Sadhana (practice) and what improves it
- How to improvise, compose and enhance creativity
- How to improvise presentation of Kalpana Swaras and Alapana
- How and what to practice
Session Format
Formats under consideration depending upon the registrations received:
- Intermediate/Advanced Vocal
- Intermediate/Advanced Violin
- Vocal-Violin interactions
Special batch sessions
Additional special sessions will be held to address the following:
- Cross the bridge from Western music to Carnatic Music
- Improvising music on other instruments

Fees and Payment
- A student can be part of only one batch each day.
- A non-refundable, fixed fee of $300 must be paid for each student participating in a given batch. This is a fixed fee that applies for the complete duration and cannot be prorated by the number of sessions attended.
