Communication
CTU will send out an announcement by e-mail to the CTU Sahasranamam Distribution List during the weekend before the day the session is held. This announcement will contain the following in addition to the information provided by the host
- A link to the details about the session
- A request to everyone to confirm their attendance to the e-mail address and the phone number provided by the host.
Hosts may send additional announcements after the CTU announcement has been sent out.
Confirmation of their attendance is entirely the responsibility of the attending families. In addition to the confirmations received, hosts may use the information in the Estimated Attendance section below to make the appropriate arrangements.
Estimated Attendance
The attendance at these sessions varies depending on several factors including the following:
- Location of the venue where the session is conducted.
- Other social events going on that day. CTU ensures that multiple CTU events or practice sessions are not scheduled at the same time
- Weather conditions
- Summer time when families tend to go on vacation
Attendance varies from 15 to 35 children depending on the factors above. On very rare occasions, a combination of these factors have resulted in as few as five children attending some sessions.
Food
Food is served at these sessions at the discretion of the family hosting the session. Even though dinner is usually served (potluck or otherwise), some families have also provided fruits or a light snack due to logistical constraints.
