CTU 2011 Registration Deadline: Friday, 29 Apr 2011

Students must submit their registration to Teachers by Sunday, 17 Apr 2011.
All registrations must be received by CTU following the registration process on the Web by the CTU 2011 Registration Deadline including the following:
- Teachers registering students
- Individual performers registering themselves
- Performers registering with Accompaniments
General Guidelines
Tyagaraja Homage Program involves the vocal or instrumental rendition of Saint Tyagaraja’s compositions by the participants. This program is held at the Sama Rathi Auditorium on Saturday only. This includes all registrations received by the CTU 2011 Registration Deadline including Teacher Sessions, Group Sessions as well as those Individual Performances that can be accommodated within the time available. These performances will be scheduled in the following sequence: a) Teacher Sessions, b) Group Sessions and c) Individual Performances.

Note:
- In addition to participating in the standard CTU Group Performances, a participant may perform only once at the Festival. They may perform in
- a single Teacher Session or
- a single Group Session or
- one Individual Performance or
- one Accompanied Performance.
- CTU may not be able to accommodate new registrations received after the CTU 2011 Registration Deadline in the 2011 festival. Changes made to existing registrations after the CTU 2011 Registration Deadline may not be printed in the CTU 2011 Tyagaraja Vijayam brochure
- CTU may not be able to accommodate Individual Performances on Saturday — the first day of the festival. Some Individual Performances may have to be re-scheduled to Sunday
- We are not in a position to share in advance
- the specific time that a given Teacher Session or Group session will be scheduled on Saturday or
- the specific day or time that a given Individual Performance is scheduled.
- All attendees and participants must pay each day’s rates to attend or participate on that day
- The kriti performed cannot be one of the CTU Group Performance Kritis for this year.
- The following combinations may have accompaniments on Saturday in the Rathi Auditorium in the Teacher Session or Group Session. See Accompanied Performances for all other combinations.
- Seven or more vocalists
- Four or more identical instruments
- Instruments considered to be accompaniments: Violin, Mridangam, Ghatam, Khanjira and Moharsing

Summary
- If you are a student, work with your teacher.
- If you are a teacher, try to maximize participation of your students in Teacher Sessions. Give due consideration to students interested in Accompanied Performances.
- If you are a teacher from the Chicago Metropolitan area, please consider a Local Teacher Session
- If you are a teacher from a city outside the Chicago Metropolitan area, please consider an External Teacher Session
- If you are part of a group (including students of multiple teachers), review the Group Sessions .
- If you are looking to render a solo performance
- Consider Individual performances if you do not have any accompaniments
- Consider Accompanied Performances if you do have accompaniments
