Chicago Tyagaraja Utsavam received entries from a total of 89 contestants this year.
The first round of judging was conducted by Sri Neyveli Santhanagopalan after which 35 contestants were selected to perform in the Live Competition on Saturday, 2 Oct 2010.
All the contestants who performed were judged by Srimushnam Raja Rao and Embar Kannan and were given a Chicago Tyagaraja Utsavam trophy and a CTU Certificate of Performance.
Each winner was awarded a CTU plaque and a CTU Certificate of Merit. Thanks to the generous sponsorship of a CTU well-wisher, the winners were given cash prizes as detailed below:
1st Prize: $250, 2nd Prize: $100 and Third Prize: $75.
A. Kanyakumari distributed the prizes and certificates to the contestants.
