4. Can we join the performance of the Pancharatna Krithis on stage?
A. Chicago Tyagaraja Utsavam actively promotes the standardized rendition of the Pancharatna Krithis by coordinating practice sessions on a regular basis throughout the year. Children have to be trained by their teachers to render these Krithis per the CTU standard. Additionally, there are some orchestrated pieces between the instruments and the vocalists that have been rehearsed multiple times. The regularity of attendance in addition to the familiarity of the Krithis are some of key factors that are used to determine the seating arrangements on stage.
Over the years, the number of such participants has grown significantly. We are no longer able to accommodate everyone on stage. Therefore, we welcome all enthusiasts to join on stage in the rear subject to the availability of space after all the participants with assigned seat numbers have been comfortably seated.

5. I have registered for the Homage to Tyagaraja performance at the festival. Could you please let me know the time of my performance?
A. Chicago Tyagaraja Utsavam strongly encourages all participants to attend all three days of the festival and partake in the musical festivities. The 2010 Program Schedule provides the details on the timing for the various events including the Homage to Tyagaraja performances. CTU is not in a position to share any further detail at this time. We look forward to your active participation and involvement throughout the festival. The specific times for the Homage to Tyagaraja performances will be posted in the Rathi Auditorium early morning Saturday, 29 May 2010. We are also planning on publishing this information on our website late evening, Friday, 28 May 2010.
