Rendering these masterpieces of Saint Tyagaraja during such an occasion is a unique privilege for these children who have been meticulously trained through the thankless efforts of various Chicago area teachers as well as CTU coordinators and conductors.
The twenty-one children who showed up for this performance at the Seetha Kalyana Utsavam sounded like the 100 children who performed at the Chicago Tyagaraja Utsavam festival last year on stage.
Balaji temple authorities had arranged a nice place for the children to sit and sing. They were very thankful for Chicago Tyagaraja Utsavam’s efforts to coordinate this event. Thanks to their wonderful performance, the CTU children have earned the privilege of performing again next year.
Lunch was served after the Kalyana Utsavam.
