Chicago Tyagaraja Utsavam received entries from a total of 53 contestants this year.
The first round of judging was conducted by a professional musician from India after which 29 contestants were selected to perform in the Live Competition.
The following musicians judged the contestants who were selected to perform in the Live Music Competition.
- Sri Tanjavur Murugabhoopathi and Sri B.U.Ganesh Prasad
All the contestants who performed in the Live Music Competition were given a CTU Certificate of Performance.
Each winner was awarded a CTU plaque and a CTU Certificate of Merit and a cash prize.
Chertala Sri Renganatha Sharma distributed the prizes and certificates to the contestants.
