Chicago Tyagaraja Utsavam is glad to announce a Carnatic music camp conducted by Sri B.U.Ganesh Prasad where music students will learn basic & advanced compositions of various Composers and general orientation on techniques for developing Raga Alapana & Swara Kalpana on both Vocal and Violin.
This camp will be conducted between 8th July to 21st July 2019 in Naperville, IL.
Sri B.U.Ganesh Prasad is a violinist known for his tonal purity, aesthetic and fluid presentation had his initial training under G. Nataraj of Bangalore and S. Shankar, a famous vocalist who helped shape his style of playing. Under the tutelage of violin maestro V.V. Subramanyam, he perfected his violin technique and is foremost representative of the VVS bhani. He also learned vocal music from P.S. Narayanaswamy. He has accompanied many of the leading vidwans, in concerts all over the world and is a well received as soloist. He is a recipient of many awards of music and is an A graded artist of radio and television.
Camp Guidelines.
- Interested Music students — both children and adults — who have learnt at least until Varnams may sign up.
- Sessions will be conducted in groups for Juniors, Intermediate & Advanced Students.
- Sessions will last for an hour.
- The Camp Conductor will work directly with interested students on fees and scheduling logistics.
