Chicago Tyagaraja Utsavam (CTU) is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to promoting Carnatic music in the USA. We actively support students, teachers and amateurs of all ages to learn, perform, master and propagate this ancient and contemporary classical art. Throughout the year, CTU sponsors high quality concerts by visiting artists from India as well as by artists based in the USA.

Chicago Tyagaraja Utsavam relies on your continued support to organize various events around the year including the Memorial Day Music festival.

Please find the various ways that members of the community can support CTU on a regular basis:

  • Financial Support. There are several opportunities available to support our festival through individual and corporate sponsorships.
  • Matching Contributions.  Matching contributions are available from:
    • Select corporations who match employee donations and/or volunteered hours
    • Merchants who donate a portion of the purchase price to the charitable organization of your choice.
  • Volunteering. Please click here for information about several activities that CTU conducts throughout the year that provides opportunities for enthusiastic members of all ages to assist and actively get involved.  Note: School going children are welcome to volunteer their time for many of these activities.
