Utsavam 2019

The 43rd Chicago Tyagaraja Utsavam will be celebrated over a three-day period from Saturday, 25 May 2019 through Monday, 27 May 2019 during the Memorial Day weekend.  We welcome everyone to attend and actively participate in the festivities on all days. Please mark your calendars for this festival of music, food and many activities that involve the children, youth and adults of all ages.

Hindusthani Vocal Concert by Smt. Shashwati Mandal cancelled due to unavoidable circumstances

Carnatic vocal concert by Smt. Amrutha Venkatesh is now scheduled at 4:30 PM instead of 6:30 PM

CTU will be serving food on all days of this year’s Annual Music Festival.  A sumptuous home-cooked meal using many of the popular CTU Recipes prepared by our community of well-wishers is served on the first day to complement the musical feast. We certainly appreciate your assistance in preparing this feast. Homage to Tyagaraja Sessions

Chicago Tyagaraja Utsavam is glad to announce the detailed schedule for the Homage to Tyagaraja sessions including the Teacher sessions as well as the Individual Performances.  
 
While the schedule provides you the precise time planned for the specific performance you are part of, we humbly request you to please attend the other sessions and be part of the whole festival — in the true spirit of CTU.  Please understand that we are not in a position to make any changes to the timings.  If you do wish to perform at a different time, please show up during that time slot and we will accommodate your request, time permitting, after all the planned performances for that time slot have been completed.
