Chicago Tyagaraja Utsavam is glad to announce multiple activities during the summer of 2018 during the months of June, July and August.

CTU Families volunteer at Feed My Starving Children

Date: Saturday, 30 June 2018

Chicago Tyagaraja Utsavam acknowledges all the families who enthusiastically joined the field volunteering trip to Feed My Starving Children (FMSC), Aurora, IL on Sat, 30 June 2018 from 2 PM to 4 PM.  CTU teams distributed across four stations joined other enthusiastic FMSC volunteers to contribute to the packing of 7,812 meal packets stacked into 217 boxes which could feed 128 kids around the world for a year.

CTU 2018 Vocal and Violin Camp

Date: 3rd July to 17th July in Naperville, IL

Chicago Tyagaraja Utsavam acknowledges Sri B.U.Ganesh Prasad for having conducted the 2018 Carnatic Music Camp from 3rd July to 17th July.  We also thank Suja and T.M. Narasimhan for hosting this camp at their residence and providing the opportunity for many students to learn first-hand from this accomplished musician.  

The camp provided 70 hours of training over a period of 2 weeks on vocal and violin to more than a dozen students.

General advise and guidance from the Camp Conductor, Sri B.U. Ganesh Prasad:

“A disciplined approach towards music, practice and most importantly — patience.”

CTU 2018 Picnic

Date: Saturday, 11 Aug 2018

CTU welcomes everyone to the Barrington Pond Forest Preserve in Hoffman Estates for the Annual 2018 Picnic where we humbly acknowledge all the volunteers and supporters who help out with CTU events and activities through out the year.  It is a great opportunity to come together as an extended CTU family outdoors and partake in food and a lot of fun and games!
