1. What must I do to register for the competition?
A. You must do the following to register for the competition :
- Review the list of Kritis
- Record your demo entry and
- Register for the competition after registration opens
- Upload your demo entry while registering for the competition.
2. Is there a fee for the Competition?
A. There is no fee for participating in the Competition.
3. How do I determine the Level at which my child should perform?
A. This is a decision to be made by the teacher of the child in question.
4. Is CTU expecting a studio recording quality for the demo entry?
A. Plain audio recording would be acceptable. CTU strongly encourages the contestants to ensure that the recording can be heard clearly by the judges without any background noise.
6. Can a contestant select a song from Level 3 and perform at Level 1 or Level 2?
A. No. The contestant has to participate in the Level corresponding to the song selected.
7. Can the demo entries be in .wav format?
A. No. As mentioned in the CTU Competition Guidelines, the demo entries must be submitted in the mp3 format. This is in the interest of timely processing of the demo entries by following a finite set of well-defined steps for each entry.
8. In Level 2 and Level 3, can we change the Kritis or Talams we select (other than the Demo Entry) after submitting them?
A. Yes. You may change the Kritis or Talams for all Levels any number of times through the CTU 2010 Competition Registration Deadline. You may not change the Kritis or Talams after the CTU 2010 Competition Registration Deadline.
9. Is there a separate category for each instrument or are all instruments judged together?
As mentioned in the announcement, the three categories are Vocal, Instrument and Percussion. All instruments (including violin, veena, flute, keyboard, saxophone etc.) are judged together in the Instrument category.
10. Is there a time limit for the duration of the demo entry?
A. Even though there is no specific time limit for the duration of the demo entry, the size of the MP3 audio files should not exceed 20 Megabytes (MB). When recording these MP3 entries, we would recommend a sampling rate of 128 KBps at a frequency of 44 KHz.

11. What are the different age bracket for both Level 1 and Level 2?
There are no age brackets for the competition participants in any level. Students in K-12 school grade in Fall 2011 can participate.
12. What type of questions will be asked in level 2?
The questions posed to the Live Competition contestants are determined by the judges during the competition.
