We are inviting painters and drawers to showcase their work. We invite children (under 17) and adults (18 and above) to register for this event and showcase your talent. By introducing visual arts during our Utsavam, CTU is extending its commitment to a broader artistic community.
When:
- Saturday, May 24th (2:00 – 4:00 pm) and Sunday, May 25th (2:00 – 4:00 pm) (registrants should pick one session in which to participate)
- Registrants are required to show up 15 min before their sessions
- Registrants (or parents, if registrants are children) should purchase tickets for CTU for the day
Where:
Gupta Dining Hall, Hindu Temple of Greater Chicago, Lemont, IL
What:
- Each artist should select one of the two sessions in which to participate.
- Painting – CTU will provide the drawings to paint. However, the artists should bring their own painting and any other relevant supplies.
- Drawing – Artists should bring their own supplies. CTU will only provide A4 size paper.
- Artists are encouraged to draw only artwork that is appropriate for the Utsavam (e.g. Saint Tyagaraja, other Carnatic musicians, classical dancers, musical instruments, etc.).
By participating in this event, the artist gives their permission to CTU to publish their artwork in any form (e.g. print, social media)
We look forward to celebrating the diversity of art forms practiced in our community and are excited to see the creative expressions that will emerge during this special event.
