Accompanied performances are South Indian Classical Music (Carnatic) compositions rendered by a complete team including the lead participant (vocalist or instrumentalist) along with accompanying participants on instruments. Â Vocal performances must have violin (or equivalent) and mridangam (or equivalent) accompaniments. Instrumental performances must have at least mridangam accompaniment.
Accompanying instruments may include Violin, Mridangam, Ghatam, Khanjira and/or Moharsing.
CTU welcomes submissions from interested participants based on the guidelines below.

Submission Guidelines
Performance Duration: 20 or 45 minutes
- There is no age bar. All are welcome to participate.
- Each performance has a Lead Participant (vocalist or instrumentalist) with accompanying instruments as appropriate.
- Lead Participants must submit the following to apply for an Accompanied Performance slot:
- Link to a video recording of their performance with accompaniments highlighting various aspects of Manodharmam including Alaapanai, Neraval and Kalpana Swaram.
- CTU will work with a team of subject matter experts to review these submissions and contact selected participants before the Fall Festival.
- Accompanying participants do not have to register at this time. Once selected, the Lead Participant must do the following:
- Form their teams after reaching out and obtaining confirmation from their respective accompanying participants
- Share the name and contact information about their accompanying participants
- Pay the one-time, non-refundable Registration Fee. The link to the payment form will be sent to lead participant after selection.
Payment Guidelines
Registration Fee – $30 for 20 minutes slot / $75 for 45 minutes slot (non-refundable)
